so i just got my class schedule yesterday and i was surprised to see that i had been placed in a drawing class.

now naturally two thoughts popped into my head:

"oh great, some bozo with no art experience is going to teach me the basics of drawing a good stick figure"

and

"could be a nice learning experience, plus it will force me to spend more time on my art"

so after two classes and some lunch i headed down to class, took my seat, gazed at all the unfamiliar faces and familiar faces that i didnt like gazing at because they are douche bags. the teacher started going on with the basic first day prep, you know how it is, and after that she gave us our assignment.

guess what the assignment was? did it have something to do with drawing? no, of course not, what do you think this is a drawing class? it was a penmanship assignment, here is an in depth report:
we were suppose to print every letter of the alphabet, 2 lines per letter, 10 letters per line.

now why does this anger me so? because we are doing a whole lesson on penmanship! 4 weeks of fucking letter work! can you believe that? oh and here is the best part, she gave us specific instructions on how to print each letter.

bullshit or what? discuss.

i just got a tablet and a digital painting program, but i cant seem to get the hang of it! its so weird, i dont know weather i should add water! i dont know if i should increase pressure! i dont know how thick the brush should be!

when i paint in real life i dont think about it, i just grab a brush and go, its like auto pilot i know what to do automatically but digital painting is hard as hell!

i guess i shouldnt give up on it though... ill keep trying.

so i have decided to be less useless, and actually contribute quality work to the portal and forum. ive just started a new paintings, its fairly large, and it includes animals, which i have never tried before so that should be cool.

im also getting a tablet and am going to make some animations. whoopy...
